Michael Reeder, CPA

Michael Reeder CPA has been working with and advising small businesses since 2010. Over the years, Michael has become more and more involved in advising franchise small businesses, and he works with franchisee clients nationwide, including in his hometown of Chicago.

While working with small business franchisee clients, Michael and his team make sure these business owners have the proper accounting and tax systems in place in order to have financial information readily available, organized, and to always be in compliance with local, state, and federal taxing authorities. In addition, Michael works with small business owners to review and interpret FDD data, mostly in item 19 and item 21, and in creating financial projections to help them in their due diligence pre-purchase as much as possible.

As the proud owner of two successful small businesses, Michael Reeder CPA has developed a strong reputation over the past half-decade because he lives the advice he gives to clients, he knows what it takes to make it as your own boss; he truly believes that to be one’s own boss is the real and true American Dream.

Michael graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting; immediately after, he self-studied for and passed the uniform CPA exam; Michael is enjoying life with his wife and business partner Mimi and dog (aka “First Son”) Opie.

Matthew Kreutzer, Franchise Attorney

​Experienced in all facets of franchise law, Matt Kreutzer assists both start-up and mature franchisors with developing, protecting and licensing their franchise and distribution systems. He counsels companies regarding the laws and regulations pertaining to franchising nationwide and assists them in creating their contracts, Franchise Disclosure Documents, and other critical operational documents. With his background in franchise litigation, Matt understands the risks inherent in the relationship and works with his clients to limit those risks so that those franchisors can focus on brand and system growth.

Matt received his B.A., cum laude, from The American University in 1995 and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 1998. He is a certified specialist in Franchise and Distribution Law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, Chair of the Board’s Franchise and Distribution Law Advisory Commission, a longstanding officer and member of the California Franchise Law Committee and a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising. He is licensed to practice in the states of Nevada, California, and Maryland.
